Here’s how my journey to wine began …
I don’t recall a specific bottle of wine from back in the day, but my wine interest actually began with tequila. I worked at Bar Abilene in 2001-2002 and loved learning about the differences between their 100 labels. Before each shift, management would pass around a small glass among the servers and we would discuss how to describe it and how the agave farming and tequila aging processes effected its flavor profile. I slowly transposed this experience onto wine.
A couple of wines that have left a very strong imprint in my memory are the Harmand-Geoffroy Mazi-Chambertin and Bisson Ciliegiolo Rosato which led me to want to work for Rootstock.
